1 Peter 2:2-3

"...like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation..."
To interact and hear from the living God of the universe might be our highest privilege after God’s gracious gift of salvation and redemption. To consistently hear the Father and have the full life that scripture says we can have, we need to be in God’s word on a regular basis.

It’s often easier to create habits when you have others pursuing the same goal. So we are setting out, in this online forum, to spend the next year in God’s word. This journey will not only afford us an amazing look at God’s grace but it will also draw us to submit every detail of our lives to Him.

We have chosen several books of the Bible that will give us a bird’s eye view of the whole bible. Each month we will complete one to three books of the bible. If you get derailed from the plan, don’t get discouraged or dismayed simply pick up on the day or month we’re on. This plan is designed for just such occasions.

Each day we will post a comment. It will give some insight into that day’s passage and offer a thought to focus on. After you have read the passage post your comments, or interact with others. Someone with the ability to answer questions surrounding the passage will be monitoring the comments so feel free to ask questions as well and to help one another.

Enjoy the road ahead as we seek God collectively in hopes that His word might become, “A lamp to our feet and a light for our path.” (Psalm 119:105, emphases added) Then God’s word will be hidden in our hearts, transforming and leading us into all righteousness and good works.

I’m looking foreword to traveling with each of you,
